Deltaville

Deltaville, Virginia

History/Results: The first trip occurred in June, 2000. We used our digital recorders and managed to get several EVP's which seemed to tell us to Get out.   On a return trip in July, 2000, Kelly went back to the same cemetery and recorded the same voice in the same area telling her to "Run" and "Get out". Oddly enough, later that night back at the house, after recording another voice in the living room, the smoke detectors went off 3 separate times in the night. The batteries were checked in the detector and found to be fine.

These events prompted Kelly and I to return again in October, 2000 to try and capture some photos of whatever was trying to communicate with us. We recorded the same voice once again and also obtained several photos with many orbs.

Upon asking around we learned that many people feel uneasy around that particular cemetery. Also, the church on the site served as a Civil War hospital. Further research revealed that during the Civil War, this church was completely destroyed. A wealthy local man had the church rebuilt as a sign to the community that the town would be able to rebuild after the war. A confederate grave is located in the church graveyard.  In addition, our family's old plantation house has also proved to be somewhat active. We've been able to record several EVP's.  These photos taken the weekend of October 7, 2000 with a canon digital camera by my cousin Kelly.

EVP:

The spirits seem to be telling us the same thing consistently.

On the 4th EVP there is something that is whispered and afterwards there is whistling being heard.

We identified it as "When the Saints Come Marching Home Again"
